| Amelia~
Born
in Tennessee, placed in Kentucky, Amelia endured a few bumps along the road to her new
family. She now enjoys life with her K9 companion Tahoe, 2 human brothers and very dotting
parents. She loves to run and
play. In her new life, Amelia has shown great interest in coursing, and will be seen
chasing the bunny regularly in future. |

Bo~
Bo was
born in a Missouri Puppy mill and shipped to a Columbus Pet store in time for the Christmas
season. As shoppers came and went, and Bo outgrew his cage, the storeowners gave him to a
teenage girl with a love for Afghans. When the girl and her mother experienced health
problems, Bo was sent to live in the country with friends. From there to a rescue foster
family, then he met Tucker Lou. The 2 were inseparable. Tucker Lou pleaded with Cathy and
Tom to take Bo home. As good afghan parents, they could not refuse. |

Hope~
On Thanksgiving Day 1998, 2 afghan
hounds were dumped in an after-hours receiving crate at the Lucas County Humane Society,
in Ohio. They were a sad, pitiful
sight, and were immediately christened Faith and Hope. Hope weighed 30 lbs. Shelter
workers had cut huge mats from her coat, leaving a rather ragged looking malnourished
elegant hound. She was totally terrified at the events in her life, suffered from
nightmares waking the household at least once each night with her screams.Unable to see her leave,
Hope was adopted by her foster Mom, Gayle Fraser and now shares her life with
Azari and Nikki

| Maggie~
It was a tearful goodbye for Maggie’s
family when unforeseen circumstances prevented them from providing Maggie a
home. They surrendered her to rescue knowing that she would be placed in a
home where she could enjoy a long, happy and safe life.
Maggies start in life
was a little rocky, at 5 months old she escaped unhurt after being hit by a car while
playfully fleeing from owner; at 6 months old she survived a battle with Parvo, at 8
months surrendered to rescue. A few weeks in foster care while she recovered from being
spayed, and off she went to her new family, where she has 2 doting parents and an afghan
brother to play with. |
