 Delila~

Adopted by Cristina Vomero as a buddy for Duncan (adopted 2002 )  Delila has come along way from the muddy pen Barbara Russell  found her in when she went in search of a companion for her pug.   Barbara answered an ad. in the local paper for another small breed.   When she arrived at the home, she found 2 afghan hounds standing 'knee deep' in mud, feces, etc in an outdoor pen, she immediately offered to purchase them instead.   After some negotiations, she walked away with 2 female afs, wondering what she was going to do with them.

Home again, she bathed, groomed and feed them both.   Finally, she found time to search the internet and found Afghan Rescue.   A few days later, AHRCO's road trip volunteer,  Katie Horn was on her way from Dayton to southern Indiana, then back to Columbus Ohio with her 2 charges.   Along the way Katie fell in love.... with the little black girl, she later named .......
