Azuki
~ When Azuki's
frequent escape antics made keeping her confined to a fenced yard difficult
for her adoptive family, they honored their adoption contract and returned
her to rescue. Where, thankfully, Jennifer St. Jacques was
waiting to adopt. An avid runner/walker, Jen and Azuki can be
seen enjoying the trails of Westerville regularly.

Sasha

|
and
Seymour ~
 |
|
Born to an Indiana "breeder",
Sasha and Seymour were sold as puppies to their first home. They were
much loved by their family and were the center of attention until life got
in the way. At 2 years old, when their human parents
suffered schedule changes at work, and were away from home for 12-14 hours a
day on opposite shifts, Sasha and Seymour expressed their displeasure at the
situation by urinating and defecating in the house. Unable to
stop them from destroying their home, the parents built a chain link
pen outside with little houses for shelter and there they lived until being
surrendered to rescue at 6 years old. Adopted by Debby Coss and
family of Marietta, Ohio, Sasha and Seymour are learning to live
indoors, sleep on the furniture and go for long walks in the park..

Katie ~
Found sheltering in a neighborhood
garage, "Little Katie" was soon on her way to the Murfreesboro, TN shelter
where she remained. Posted on Petfinders.org as Jasmine, an
afghan/poodle mix she waited for a new home. Fortunately, her
plight came to the attention of Afghan Hound Rescue and Saundra Newton was
able to visit and confirm that while she's very small, and not particularly
well bred, she's all afghan. Released from the Shelter to
Saundra's care, she waited for a new home. Aware of her
plight, Vicki Courtney contacted AHRCO in hopes of finding her a new home.
Almost immediately, AHRCO
volunteer, Katie Horn was on her way to TN to bring the littlest Affie back
to Ohio where Barb Sterling was waiting to offer a foster home.
As often happens, Barb immediately fell in love with the little 23" tall
orphan, renaming her Katie. Katie now lives with 'big sister",
11 yr old Mereiki and their 7 kitty siblings in Newark Ohio..
