Kayleigh ~

Kayleigh had a great start in life, but sometimes the world is not perfect and she found herself a guest of rescue for a period of time.   Happily, Barb Sterling fell in love with our little Kayleigh and home she went.   Barb and Kayleigh share their home with canine sister Katie, and their feline siblings in Newark, Ohio.

NM kids ~

On July 14 in a small town near Santa Fe, New Mexico 67 afghan hounds were surrendered to the local authorities by their owner.   Thanks to the Afghan Hound Club of America Rescue we were privileged to help 4 of these dogs to find new homes. Ms Fiona Muffett ~

Surrendered to the Franklin County Animal shelter by a someone who reported that he had found her roaming loose on N. High St.   Named for her size, the petite Ms. Muffett is hanging out at AHRCO HQ pending a little minor surgery before going to her new home with Sharin & Grady Whitson.

Puppy Shade ~

This little sweetheart was surrendered to the Upper Sandusky shelter with her sibling after their owner was found dead.  Her sibling was immediately adopted by a shelter volunteer and this little girl was kept safe by the shelter owner.   After many weeks of missing their afghan, Bo, AHRCO members Cathy & Tom were thrilled to be allowed to adopt the little one.

*Update - Puppy Shade has become Matilda aka Tillie, Mattie or 'Little Devil" depending on what mischief she has gotten into.

Trevor ~

Surrendered when his military dad was transferred to overseas duty, 3 yr old Trevor spent some time in foster care before finding his new family with Norma Schultz in Central Ohio.   An only fur child, Trevor loves his new fenced yard, and his new Mama and his human grand kids.  He loves his daily walks and is learning to trust visitors to his home,

Azuki ~

 

Our beautiful, sweet Azuki has won the lottery.   After a long wait Azuki has found her new home with Sue & Jim Riley where she can be found walking the neighborhood, checking out the wild turkey, squirrels and the occasional fox or deer.    She loves her new kitty siblings who are somewhat indifferent to the new addition in the family..
