Simone ~

At 6 weeks old, she was purchased by a young couple in N. Ohio; Unfortunately almost immediately the husband lost his job, so when Simone injured her leg they were unable to afford the necessary veterinary care.   Believing they had no other options, they delivered Simone to their local Shelter.   Thankfully, the shelter was able to treat her broken tibia before turning her over to AHRCO who found her a home with Connie in Newark, Ohio

Walter ~

At 12 years old Walter lost his home when his owner passed away,  Heavily coated when he arrived, his new mom, Vet Tech Sue Roberts took him to work with her for grooming and an introductory meeting.  Sadly once groomed he was found to have 3 large tumors.  He has since undergone surgery for removal of the tumors on his leg and neck.  The vet thought it wise not to perform invasive surgery on the 3rd tumor located in the abdomen.   Walter is now home, recovering and enjoying life with his new affie brother Michael and their feline friends.

Hollee ~

Hollee's life didn't didn't take the road expected, however this beautiful girl has truly found the opportunity of a lifetime.   Adopted by Kathleen and Ed from Indiana, Hollee has found her people.   When Hollee met her new Mom it was like she knew immediately that Kathleen was her person.   From that very instant she stayed glued to Kathleen's side.   Back in Indianapolis, Hollee met the rest of the family - her new Dad, her grandpa and her 4 new borzoi siblings.   All went well.   So well, that Hollee has become Pearl or "Good Girl Pearl" as she hears frequent praise from her Mom.

Phoebe ~

Phoebe has found her person.  2 year old Phoebe started life in less than stellar environment.  Sold online to her first family at 8 weeks old where she was fortunate to have found a loving home.   Unfortunately, things change and her family loved her enough to recognize that they were not able to give her the best of the best.   With tears in their eyes and an ache in their hearts they did what they thought best for Phoebe and contacted rescue.   After a few weeks in foster care, Phoebe has been adopted by Heather as a companion to her other affie, Chrissy.  Phoebe is a lucky girl.  Her new home is a historic mansion and she has her own indoor playground in the form of a grand ballroom.  She has a civil war canon in her back yard to play around and she has an entire family from grandmother to youngest grandson all anxious to take her for walks.   Photo shows Phoebe relaxing on her new Mom's lap.

Hannah ~

After several months in foster care, Hannah's foster Mom has finally admitted what Hannah knew all along - she is home.

Born in a puppy mill, Hannah's future was to produce.  And produce she did, beginning at 8 months old when she delivered her first litter.   After several years when she was no longer useful, she was sold off and eventually found her way to rescue.

Today she enjoys collecting little treasures from around the home, taking them back to her 'safe place'.  She is constantly hungry and carries her food bowl around with her.   At 5 years old, she is learning to be a puppy and loves to run and chase around the yard.
