2009 Happy Tails

 

The Camby Indiana kids (aka the Indy 4)

On Wednesday, September 2, 2009 Animal Control Officers from Animal Care and Control, Indianapolis responding to complaints from neighbors seized 4 - 2 yr old  afghan hounds from a private address in Camby, Indiana.  To read their story, please follow this link Indy4

Mercedes (aka Mercy)

 Mercy has found her new family in Central Ohio with Karen and Randy.  Mercedes is very spoilt with her own room, a soft bed and a TV to watch animal planet whenever Mom and Dad go out.  

Malcolm

 Malcolm found his way to S. KY and the home of Brad and Debbie, where he has 2 greyhounds, 1 whippet and a couple of other non affie friends to race around the yard with.

Miles

Adopted by his foster Mom, Miles is enjoying life with Kathleen and Ed, his new affie sister, Pearl and their Borzoi cousins. 

Moria

 Moira was fortunate to find her new family in N. Ohio where she shares Mom Darlene & Dad Jeff and her canine cousins

Phillip ~

Turned over to rescue at 11 yrs old, Phillip was lucky enough to find a new couch with affie lover, Jill Wheeler where he has become her devoted companion.

Winifred ~

Born in an Ohio puppy mill, little Winifred found her way to rescue at 6 months old.   After a few weeks in foster care, she was adopted by Jon Wyatt and now shares her days with Mom and Dad, 4 young human companions and 2 canine friends.

Clementine ~

Found roaming stray in a Northern Ohio town and taken in by a good Samaritan, this beautiful girl was turned over to rescue when no owner came forward to claim her.   Extremely thin, she remained in foster care long enough to gain a few pounds before going onto her new home with Kathy Beilstein in Southern West Virginia where she has a new afghan brother and a loving Mom to begin her new life.

Ethan ~

7yr old Ethan and his 5 children were surrendered to a small breed rescue group when their 'breeder' was unable to find homes for them.

Ethan found is new home with AHRCO member, Bonnie Wilson where he has a new affie brother (Darcy) to play with.

Of the 5 puppies turned over to rescue, 1 found her new home in Michigan, the other 4 came to us at AHRCO

All were 5 months old.  Walter was adopted by Nancy O'kane in Indiana.   Spencer has become brother to "Safi" and Brodie at the home of Deanna Crisan in Indiana.  Boo (aka SAM = Special afghan male) was adopted by Sue and Gary Stine as a companion to affies Turk, Lad and Max and finally
